What would fellow forum members suggest as a second hand, new purchase or hire for 1000 acres of milling wheat. 4 different varieties. Straw is baled but it doesn’t have to be a walker machine. Average field size is around 30 acres and there’s a lot of road work around lanes although not massive distances with 9 miles being the furthest.

We went from a 6 walker Claas lexion on wheels to a narrow body rotary on tracks it can easily out cut the walker and being on tracks is far more civilised for moving around single track roads and narrow twin lane A roads

A good second hand Claas lexion 570 on tracks if you can find one or bigger 580. Smaller one might be harder to find on tracks. Think the new equivalent is a 750
