A word of warning

Had my patella and bottom of femur crushed by bucket cutting edge against a wall, ruptured popliteal vein and artery, they had to be repaired with vein from other leg so have a scar from groin to ankle. Had fasciotimies same as the OP but mine aren't as neat had to have grafts and such. Nerve damage as well. But then I was young and daft so bounced back. Don't rush in front of the tractor when shovelling grain everyone, I'm a walking talking cautionary tale.

I have a few friends with much better scars than me, one lad ripped his arm off climbing and it took most of the skin off his back with it. Got it all sown back on and is going ok his scars make most look like a walk in the park.
Main reason for putting up this thread is to make folk aware of the condition and make me feel a bit better about it
A whole arm, Jesus!

The operation scars are healing nicely but the deferred pain lack of circulation and constant cramp are now getting me down. On the plus side I can now hobble about with my special support boot so can make it to the toilet from the sofa or bed without pissing myself.
My youngest son always the witty one of the family noted my leg looked like a half filled baguette, the salami had been added but it was waiting for the salad and mayonnaise

You'd be in trouble if the mayonnaise was on there.

Well folks the tale continues, had a bit of a turn this aft and had to go back into hospital for some checks. Anyway alls ok but the doctor who was dealing with me said I am very lucky to still have my leg. He said so many people leave it to late, it just highlights what a dangerous condition this is and the imperative to get things looked at.
Today I felt a right fraud taking up the hospitals time but they all said it was far better to get the all clear than to have a stroke or a heart attack just because I didn't want to bother them.
