Went to twickenham on the 303 at the weekend to watch rugby, very jealous of the huge fields that way, if anyone here farms it then I must say your crops lovely, credit where credits due, just wish I could be that way come harvest to have a look.
I’ve got lovely views in Cornwall but my word what a lovely part of the countryside it is.

Next time you're heading back west, swing off the A303 at Amesbury, go via Shrewton to Sutton Veny, cross the A350 at Longbridge Deverill, passing through all the Deverills before climbing up onto Mere Down. That right there, is one of the best views in the world.

You miss out all the single carriage way as well. :)

Or go East on A303 and hang a right through Hindon and the Nadder Valley to Wilton / Salisbury.

It's a lovely area

One of my favourite pieces of useless information. As you travel from Stonehenge to countess roundabout the field on the left has some clumps of trees. These are known as The Nile Clumps, they depict a map. They are actually the position of the ships in a battle between Nelson and the French in the Nile delta before Trafalga. The trees were planted by the Marquise of Queensbury.

Hopefully the tunnel won’t destroy the trees
