I'm heading over A66 today, anyone know what road conditions are going over the tops Stainmore, Penrith etc? Weather forecast said at home we'd have snow this morning, got nothing apart from very cold.

Our van which comes back to Leeds on a covid related job from Glasgow daily was passing Penrith at 06:55 and is now passing Thirsk on the A1. Had a short delay. Left here at about 23:00 yesterday.

Dual carriageways are 60 limit (there the ones with the green paint on top of the 100 metre markers instead of blue0

3 inch of snow at Thirsk / Northallerton now.
A66 could be iffy.

Got another van on it's way to Bonnyrigg, left Yorkshire at about 14:00 doing about 40 mph on the A701 and about 10 miles from his drop....

Just got back now A66 was clear all the way, got about a mile away from home and suddenly about 8 inch of the white stuff appears.

Yep, I evened out the wear on the grain bucket edge and moved the snow from us into the village. I may have a planning application going in soon.
