We shall soon be looking at a new sp sprayer. Currently running a Rogator with AGCO / Topcon X30. All my AB lines and boundaries are in the screen. Ideally my next sprayer will have Trimble, can I move the lines and boundaries between the two?

Good afternoon Banana Bar, Paul Knights from Vantage England and Wales here, based out of Watton. I represent Trimble in Norfolk and Suffolk and would be very happy for you to contact me regarding your new sprayer or any GPS inquiries you may have. I hopefully will hear from you soon on this site, sir.

Really like Greenstar, very user friendly and it seems limitless in its ability. Constant software updates and JDs ability to harvest unlock monies for everything possible steers me towards Trimble however.
Agree local support is good and possibly the best.

It's true Trimble do have unlock licences, as most GPS Guidance companies do, but that's usually at the start of the purchase process and then it's just the correction subscription annually from then on, same as RTK etc. Trimble do have good local support nationally and have been operating in the UK for many years.

the unlocks are why JD lost me and wanting a system that didn’t lock us in to any tractor brand

it’s a great system/ support but terrible financial / marketing model imo for uk farmers

Give Trimble a go via Vantage, more than willing to pay a visit or explain over the phone if you wish. I'm relatively local as I live in Watton call me on 07796 601070, I should be free tomorrow afternoon if your free? Your call, or not!

I agree with this. I have asked for a quote to install GS into a sprayer as I think it’s a cracking system. I’ve been asked if I’d like to join JD connect where all job info can be transferred wirelessly between office and sprayer. I am immediately suspicious, who’s really benefiting from this data? I have the same thoughts with SOYL.

JD Link access or connect is a great tool and its simple and with no subscription costs and you as a customer benefits

it allows you to do all your documentation and its all backed up directly in MYJD.com via Wireless data transfer
you can sign up 3rd partys to your account allow shape files to be sent direct to the screen
sharing of coverage map and A B lines
And importantly Remote display access for support allow support to call in to your screen and assist with set up and problem solving

just remember with JD link we have great support tools like Experts alerts ,Service alerts ,remote software update,
and the one who benefits is the customer for Uptime and reduced cost of ownership.

Call me if you would like to discuss

i know greenstar now fits to any brand but isn’t it yet another expensive unlock to do so ?

from a customer point of view it just feels a bit like your buying kit you already have over and over again

it’s a shame because i reckon it’s probably the best all round package there is and certainly my the best backed up

The reality is that like Applecrap you will only own the metal and eventually have to continually have to update, at more money, or strangely it will slow down and eventually not work. Sussed out Cookie in the 90's and since then when it might look Yankee its cheap Chin crap inside.
