Possibly one of the only advantages to the AF I found was the ears, they were so big that you could fit multiple cull tags in their earsWould the Aberfield infusion make for a much nicer head too?

Wool is a terrific, renewable product and I wouldn't be surprised if it has a future. Unfortunately, for the foreseeable, it will cost most flockmasters money to produce when all costs are taken into account.I would be terrified that if I went down the shedder route, wool would come back into fashion ,and reach equivalent values to medieval times ,and pay the farm rent.
Only half joking when I say this.
Yes, I understood they screened for disease, rather than go down the accreditation route, which only covers a couple of icebergs anyway.
A good friend bought a tup from a screened flock that had an iceberg
All flocks are screened for other icebergs
FFS, there's enough fudgin things sheep can die of and now it looks like we've got to look out for 'em being hit by icebergsAll exlana multiplier flocks have to carry out regular screening for icebergs

No need to worry on that score.......Wool is a terrific, renewable product and I wouldn't be surprised if it has a future.
Er, yes thanks for the tup offer @yellowbelly. Don't call me, I'll call youFFS, there's enough fudgin things sheep can die of and now it looks like we've got to look out for 'em being hit by icebergs
I'm guessing it's a global warming thing
No need to worry on that score.......

...........the genetics are safe here . PM me when you need a tup
P.S. had an unplanned mating with a randy Lincoln tup lamb and a shedder a couple of years ago - the resulting triplets were a sight to behold
