Accord CX disc coulters

I had one from new in 2004.
Fluffy sand sticks to the steel disc then wears the plastic disc at an alarming rate.
Run clean on heavier land, but struggle with penetration, so forward speed needs to be kept low.
Blocking with trash not a problem, the coulter will ride over it!
Very expensive to refurbish (we only did it once)

I replaced mine with a Farm Force drill with KRM discs, which were far better on anything other than big stone, which tends to break the springs.
Eventually, we replaced the KV power harrow/Farmforce drill with a new Pottinger combi on ADD discs, which is superb.

I ran a thread on here at the time, and we had some demos.
The shortlist was:
Sulky - superb, but expensive, and had the same spring issue as the FForce
Alpego - very good (didn't actually demo, but went to see one) Main reason against it was dealer proximity (over 50 miles away)
Pottinger - fitted our requirements very well, at a reasonable price, from a very good local dealer
Horsch - very expensive, only 10 rotors, Horsch rep told me too much coulter pressure would result in the coulters riding out. Very busy around the coulters (like an Amazone) which impedes trash flow.
Lemken - too many moving parts to wear out, couldn't cope with our heavier land. Even the Lemken rep said it wasn't the right drill for our land. Good power harrow.
