BBC have currently got rain or showers forecast for every day next week from Tuesday onwards. Meanwhile yrno has only got us having 2 mm on Wednesday . Sunny for the other days. How the hell are you meant to plan anything.?

Yesterday morning yrno was predicting 17mm rain throughout the day for next Wednesday. This morning they have changed their mind to 1 mm of drizzle.
And this is the forecaster a lot of folks I talk to, say is the most accurate!!
I'll expect it to change again by tomorrow.

I prefer XC, but at the end of the day it is what it is- a prediction, based on modelling and assumptions.

what works best for me is looking at a few different ones to get a rough idea of the week ahead, XCWeather for 24/48hrs ahead and RainAlarm on the day to watch what’s actually happening.

Do find BBC particularly crap tho.

I find the most useful thing is the rainfall radar, where you can actually see where the rain is, and make your own judgement as to when it’s going to get to you, as in have I got time to plough some ground and get it drilled before it rains, or should I not bother!

This was the overnight forecast yesterday... cloudy and mild. It's currently minus 1.

The percentage for rain annoys me most met office and bbc differ so much, I presume they mean different things, one has 98% chance now the other at 60% then for Saturday one has 19% the other 50% with neither the same as the map. Also the temperature for bbc is always around 2 degrees warmer and as such never accurate
