First time in my life I have had this. Not just tiredness ache, but a nagging pain underneath just in front of heel where the arch starts to rise up off the ground. Right foot only. Painful to walk at times.

Go see a chiropodist/podiatrist and get some orthotic insoles made. Apparently my "tracking" is out by about 6 degrees and one leg is about 5mm longer than the other. Doesn't sound much, but getting it fixed sorted all sorts of random back, knee and ankle problems.

Is this where you walk on a machine and it tracks your gait and pressure points?

Interesting.

My left heel is always the one that cracks in winter. The right heel is the one that's aching.
My left foot is bigger than my right foot and I reckon I put more weight on it probably because my left leg is slightly longer.

As I get older these slight differences are probably showing up like unevenly worn tyres because as said my tracking is out.

Right foot ache might have been triggered by holding my foot down on the tractor accelerator pedal because the hand throttle keeps slipping back......or it might have been strained on a cross country trek back from the pub one night.

Trench fever, not as bad as it sounds but was a problem in WW1, caused by soldiers wearing the same footwear every day. Know someone who had this doctor told him to buy a different make of wellie boot.
May be same as some above with a different name.

Sounds like plantar fasciitis. It will go in time but takes a while . To relieve the pain and help healing , put your bare foot on a rolling pin and push down rolling the pin under the arch of your foot . Does not have to be a rolling pin but something about that size(y)

I had this. I put it down to bad footwear, especially wellies that offer no support to the arch of your foot and in my case, Crocs that were definitely past their best.
Pain was at its worst first thing in the morning and could hardly walk after getting out of bed.
I bought some arch supports for my footwear and bought some good boots and it seems to have gone.

Get this all the time, bloody nightmare. My daughter bought me some plastic squashing shoe inserts that have helped and some thinker socks. I find soaking my foot/feet in warm water helps.
Go to a good podiatrist, will take plaster cast of your feet and make proper in soles to correct the problem.

Agree with this one. I've been going since I was 14 and my feet are in much better shape now, would not be without them. Walking isn't painful and I can wear whatever footwear I fancy, whereas before was really painful. Best get it sorted now before it damages your spine :)

I had a problem with aching feet a few months back.was so bad one day I could not walk so went to a chiropractor.she looked at my feet and told me I’d been wearing bad shoes.was actually trainers and right foot had sort of slid over to right hand side and a bit of the sole if that makes sense.see lots of people with similar in trainers.i knew straight away when she mentioned it.reccomended inserts and they have been brilliant and pretty much sorted me out.apart from the pi55taking about inserts they have been brilliant and only about £4pair on Amazon.

It’s not just putting your foot on the rolling pin but the rolling motion of it. Thought I had heel spurs and was unable to walk freestanding first thing on a morning. Doctor gave me a 3 page booklet about the condition. One of the things in it was the rolling pin but the one that did it for me was putting a can of something in the freezer and using that instead.
Probably all down to bad footwear so nowadays I wear nothing but Redbacks during the day and Loakes for best. Wish all medical conditions were as easy to resolve.
