Activity monitors and parlour I.D integration

Wondered if I could ask for some advice, we are considering investing in activity monitors but ideally don’t want to compromise future integration with a fresh parlour in the near future.

Parlour wise will likely be second hand but with auto iD feed to yield and seg gate. Have been told that certain collars/systems won’t work with certain parlours. But could you have activity collars of whichever system then the correct button tags for the parlour side and tie them together with uniform or similar?

Just want to avoid having a system and collars that then have to be changed for the parlour to work to full potential.

As an example could you go sensetime and have a gea parlour that can collect yield data etc without basically paying twice for the same thing.

Thank you.

Liam.

I’ve got a delaval parlour with auto ID and a seg gate. Also on my second Heatime system. The delaval transponders don’t have a battery in them to go flat like the heatime, this makes them uber reliable, I’ve probably changed 10 in 200 over 17 years. The Heatime can fail before the 5 year warranty, which could make ident a PITA. The Heatime is a stand alone oestrus detection system on for me.

Think thats the problem with these transponders. You really need the data all on one graph. The information can be used in may ways then. Buttons tags are brilliant and cheap got them on our fullwood. I do like my LIC heat detectors at £1.15 each alot cheaper than them electronic tags
