Nice to see so many concerned about the environment and the future of the planet. I don't think the legislation is in place just to make our lives difficult. We all have to do our bit and a few quid's worth of add blue is hardly a major sacrifice. Failing that, run older tractors and save a pot of money!
What's it got to do with the environent? UK produces 1% of greenhouse gasses, and has ridiculous over regulation, whilst India, Russia, and China carry on regardless.

I suspect if emission kit removal / bypass is shown to be common place it will only be a matter of time before tractor MOT`s are introduced and of course everything else will be checked at the same time.....including hour clocks.

So do you think running older tractors are better for the environment and the planet, just because their legall don't make them cleaner or still emitting at the same rate as that left the factor due to wear.
Apparently, the most environmental vehicle you can have is the one you already own. But I am sure the manufactures wouldn't agree. I assume Hydrogen power will become the norm for big engine machines within 10 years.

A case of leading by example. You can't go lecturing the Chinese or Russians without your own house being in order. And worse, probably having to pay recompense for our past excess pollution could be on the cards.

Its very easy to check for adblue working on a tractor all you've got to do is switch engine off and listen for it pumping back to tank. If its turned off for a while and for whatever reason needs to be working again it could cost more to get the system back operational than any saving on adblue.

It is common place, has been for years

I’ve removed derv cats from diesels for literally a decade even commercially at one point they all passed mots after…

Mot is for that day only diesels are still only tested for particulates, mot for tractors won’t mean anything.

you can simply unplug your hour clock or speedo in between mot whos to know?

Is it true that US has something called Emission Warranty where the state covers all parts and probably labour for emission crap for 5 years on new machines ?

You can map it out of them but leave the pump running, that’s how my T6 was done. Was under warranty so ad blue inject was pulled out and fault codes deleted, pump still ran and circulated ad blue, no chrystalisation and sounded like it was running

I think you have been misinformed to how a quality remapper would delete it..

Don’t think anyone is doing it to save adblue it’s more hassle and parts

Is true. But the federal government regulates it, not the individual states. Some states may have additional laws that require the manufacture to warrant longer than 5 years. Up until the last couple of years, manufactures could claim that the Ad/Blue tank, sensors, hoses and spray jet heads where not part of the emissions and could deny claims based on those parts. As far as I know this is no longer the case. The language in the law has been changed to include all passive and active components.

Is it legal to run a machine on the road with emissions deleted in the UK?
Do those doing the work make their customers sign something to say they understand its for off highway use and may affect insurance etc?

My friend tells me his delete disables everything except the coolant circulating through the adblue system.

The problem with allowing the adblu pump to operate even if it is only circulating adblue is when the pump fails you will be back to square one. Engine goes into limp mode and a laptop required to clear codes.

Better off to do it right and shut down the entire system from day one according to my friend
