They probably wont, what would happen is it will be made illegal for someone to carry out the work to delete it, with heavy fines for anyone court. No one will want to take that risk so you wont be able to get it done in the first place.]

For them that already have it done, they will be fine UNTILL there is another problem on the machine were by the dealer or who ever is fixing it has to reset or update software or replace ECU's etc then you will loose any modifications and this could include things like EGR valves and DPF filters etc too. As the dealer will only be able to repair the machine back to factory standard and YOU will then get charged accordingly to reinstate these mapped out stuff like EGR and Alblue etc etc. Mean while your adblue system wont have liked being left unused so is likely to need repairs more than just removing the remap etc all of which will be chargeable and if you dont like it or cant afford it then the dealer will not be able to do the work legally.

Many will laugh BUT i would bet money on it this will come in to force at some point both in Agri and plant/construction, HGV and cars.

to some extent is already is in place for HGV and cars i think.

Think back to the VW emissions scandal and how deep that rabbit hole got and wide spread!
Although I don't for one minute disagree with you and they have really gone for the HGVs and it will be cars next, it may take some time to get to Agri and plant.

Meanwhile back at the ranch....todays big job is disabling the ad blue on the tractor so we can save a few quid and increase pollution.... Can you imagine what a Daily Mail reporter would make of this thread....

I don't know with all adblue systems but some can simply be switched off with laptop. But its very easy to tell if it's been done this way. No pumping back to tank when you switch tractor off and no error codes is a bit of a giveaway.

Taking that example then; just ignore it and carry on seems to have been the policy, (mainly because putting it right made the cars have serious issues) even the Government dont want the increased tax disc money that should have been applied at new.

i was more refuring more to the never ending compensation claims that went on!

That would be a very amateur mapper.
You say that but long term how does the system like the same half tank full being pumped round and round and never getting refreshed? I assume the way the leave it running but stop it dosing is to tell the ecu that either air temp or exhaust temp is outside of operating range?

Oh yeah because everyone bought a vw because of the claimed low emissions and not the fact that they performed better than other manufacturers equivalent vehicles didn't they 🤣

i didn't say that's why people bought vw. VW started it but the claims when on to most other manufactures too

Bought a Case Luxxum in 2018. Ad blue system on it. Kept going into limp home mode. Had dealer out 3 times, kept fiddling and getting it going but pretty sure he hadn’t a clue what he was doing, 20 work hours later do it again. On the forth time rang a different mechanic. He came straight out, plugged laptop in. Ad blue system was all too cock and would cost a lot too have it put right. He suggested we wipe it from the system and try that. He did it that afternoon and it’s a different tractor now. Goes better, more torque when towing and has never gone into limp home mode since. But we’ll never have another Luxxum.😫😳

Is "all too cock" a technical mechanic term or did he not have a clue what was up with it either? ;)
I think that's half the problem, poor diagnosis, load up the parts cannon and hope you cure it. In my experience a lot of these faults are fairly minor (usually related to the DEF itself) There's not enough tractor guys that know what they are doing. The truck side has got a lot better over the years but still isn't great.

I agree, the knowledge at a technician level is terrible - quite amazing since these systems have been around for the good part of a decade now. Is it possible that, maybe, without the option to simply rip it all out and reflash it, mechanics will have to learn to fix these systems properly?

My link above to a consultation (post 31) says this and also to create an offence of allowing anyone to use a "tampered" with vehicle'
The consultation includes NRMM vehicles (non-road mobile machinery) which includes agricultural vehicles
