Don’t be tempted to use any old pump if that’s what you decide to use, the pump has to be all plastic parts that come into contact with the ad blue at least

Started off with the 200L barrel but got 4 tractors on adblu now so get it in ibc and have it on stand next to diesel tank with gravity fed hose, when busy can go through 1000L in @5months this time of year it lasts a lot longer

One of the main things with adblu is cleanliness, don't get muck into system or filling system, only use a new plastic can if your using cans to fill, only use specific adblu pump if going down that route
I remember the local fodder merchant telling me several years ago when he showed me his new Scania lorry that the tiniest amount of dirt in the ad blue
tank could do a lot of damage
Should ad blue tanks be treated the same as fuel tanks and that is keep as full as possible to prevent condensation

Condensation in ad-blue isnt an issue, its 67% (ionised) water anyway, its dust/dirt etc when filling that can cause issue. As far as I know ad-blue doesn't come in bulk where they pump it off into your own tank, so we just buy it an IBC at a time, new IBC each time and they take the old one away to clean and re-fill I presume.

You can get a bunded tank With a proper pump included we’ve a 1200 l one and they just come and deliver it like they do with fuel

I buy mine off a company that delivers it by tanker

Don't buy the cheap blue hand pump. Leaks like mad, poorly built.
I have this one https://www.centretank.com/products/detail/piusi-manual-rotary-adblue-pump
works well but is expensive for what it is.
Don't use a normal oil hand pump. The adblue will wreck it.
I also have just one tractor on adblue, and the 200L barrels are fine as they fit in my container next to fuel tank. An IBC would last to long and have to be kept outside. I don't think adblue like UV light...

As already said it's contamination that creates the problems.

Where I was we had IBC's and a nozzle jug when the AdBlue vehicles first arrived. Jugs would get dirty used for other stuff and people would still tip AdBlue in. One yard would run out of AdBlue and turn up with all manner of shitty drums that had fuel, Oil all sorts in to take it back and so it went on...

Caused all sorts of issues as you'd have people thinking it was water when it was sat in the shed and they'd take it away with them on tour etc to top up radiators whilst away.

Ended up with a Tank in all 4 yards due to more and more AdBlue Vehicles.. GSM linked to the supplier and they'd tank it in when below a certain level.

Proper Hose Proper Trigger etc no more mess or waste and due to the whole thing being much more closed off and cleaner the issues the vehicles were having dwindled.

As said, only buy what you will likely use in 6 months ish, keeping it out of the sunlight, use a dedicated jug/ funnel / pump and keep everything spotlessly clean when you re fill the tank.

100% agree I have the aforementioned shite blue plastic pump and it is exactly as described. I was going to ask for recommendations for a new 1 anyway but I’d looked at that Puisi rotary so will go with that, thanks @Bovril
