I do not want to enter an argument with you about what are trivialities but no I do not agree entirely with you. I shall explain. Yes, concurr, always preferable for the previous claimant to transfer land parcels to the new claimant - as then the parcels are included in the land update section and ready to go. As for late stage - not really applicable. Another few days left yet. So long as the Continuation sheets arrive Worksop by May 15 (or 17 this year). I have posted on the 14th before. But if the new claimant cannot get the previous claimant to make the electronic transfer, or as one of the earlier posters a RLE1 has been submitted to make the transfer (goodness knows why they used that old method) and the land parcels do not show up on the Land Update section, there is no option, is there, but to use a paper Continuation Sheet. As for dual claims and speed of RPA processing, I have in my experience not found any slowness of processing. And the possibility of a dual claim is just one of those things - if it happens then a case of correspondence with RPA. First time I have heard of the RPA say the 'onus' is on the previous claimant making a transfer. What about if the previous claimant has died and there are no successors to effect the changes. Sounds to me as though you had a nice RPA helpline operator working off a script in an ideal world, Anyway all great fun. And best wishes to you. And coincidentally I am meeting up with a farmer tomorrow who I assist with the annual BPS claim. He told me last week he as just purchased a field. The field has been not farmed for two or three years. So rather than faff around finding out who had it and getting them to transfer online, I shall spend 15 minutes to draw up a RLE1 to register the parcel afresh (even though it is already registered), prepare a Continuation Sheet to get the parcel claimed and associated with my clients SBI. All photocopied and sent by post Tuesday signed for. And put in a call to Townsends Agents to set in play purchasing 10 entitlements. More great fun.
