It’ll be classified as “Extension”
There is no feed in tariff available for extensions.

Only usage and possibly export if export meter is installed.

Are you certain, I understood that it would be the rate at the time for the total capacity. This may have changed as the last time I looked it was before the heavy cut back

This only applies to extensions added to installs which were put in place after 15th. Jan 2016
Arrays built earlier still can can claim FITs at todays rate for the total size of the install refer page 23
Look @Exfarmer im clear. I’m also tired, been working me nuts and bolts off. Albeit, I’m fond of your persistence.

In short, if you installed 50kW solar prior to jan 2016 you get a tariff rate deemed that size. If you extended that solar then the deemed tariff is paid at the accumulated size. E.g 50kW paid at X tariff. Extend and add another 50kW be paid for that one at 100kW tariff at the time which usually amounted 50% of original if not less.

All tariff is honoured.

Build 50kW before January 2016 paid at that tariff. Put another 50kW extension after January 2016 NO tariff can be claimed for any of that extension and both scenarios need separate metering and separate connection into DB.
