Adding spools to a newly acquired MF575 and other TLC

Hi folks,

Recently purchased a decent shape 575 but would like to ask about adding a bank of DA spools. It's the 8 speed non MP box.

The tractor has an SA and DA spool outlet on the back as is usual....., accessed through the 3 way control valve but would like to fit a bank of 2 or maybe 3 spools when restoring the cab and build them into the cab floor in front of the quadrant.

Can you buy monoblock setups that would bolt onto the little cover plate above the hydraulic pump (where the factory diverter valve is) and can these allow oil feed to the lift cylinder at the same time........for example, if I fit a loader and wish to pick two round bales of straw without having to faff around with the 'normal' control/diverter lever in between?

....that being the ext1-linkage-ext2 lever by the way.

I was going to have to replace the lever anyway (link rod is fine tho) as it got a clatter in a previous life so thought about asking how to add spool capability that meant I wouldn't have to plumb my loader bracket into Ext1 or 2 on the back.

I'll have a few little jobs to do on her but mostly minor enough. Cab itself is mostly sound but the right-hand sub floor is rotted so will be making a new dancefloor for the difflock bracket to bolt securely to down there. Will need to fabricate a new hinge-area for the back window to swing on. Will replace the side window frame too but got good ones (2 back windows, 1 side window) included with the purchase.

Also a common mf500 issue, foot throttle seized........ easy fix just more awkward to get at than the same linkage on an mf100 series.

Speaking of adding remote hydraulic outlets....... did I read somewhere that the power steering pumps from the 300 series (tandem pumps) could also be fitted to a 500.......and once you sort an oil feed for the high pressure side of pump you could run spools off it seperately to the lift-pump altogether........wish I had save the bloomin bookmark now lol

Think they are the same mount but you would need to swap to a suitable pinion gear on the end.

We got an MF80 loader and bracket with the tractor (yet to be repainted then fit the loader bracket and plumbing) which will be dead handy for moving hay troughs and creep feeders about the place etc once fitted and general stacking and tidying things

There ends a ridiculously long first post

Easier to free the throttle on a 2 door cab. Easier access. Even tho you don't have m/p you could still have aux pump. Could for a 300 series p/s aux pump but would need to get a feed from somewhere. Maybe an adaptor from the triangle filter cover

Yep, the one I had seen on the web was fed over from under the triangle cover.

Mines a 1-door cab, I'll just need to develop double jointed elbows and an extremely long straw on the WD40 lol

I did a 565 yrs ago put 80 loader and spool block on, from memory I took feed off top cover and dumped back through top cover, same as older masseys, just have to take out seat and plate underneath to get at it.
