Awaiting further info next week on this, but has anyone been down this route
You want to fit Guidance using GFX-750 & NAV-900 units on your tractor but its not Auto-guide Ready so
to speak.
Can you retro add in the electronics on the Steering orbital & any wheel angle sensors etc etc
so you can still retain tractors factory steering wheel?

If so at what rough cost or its it the case of just don't bother & source a Guidance Ready Tractor
that is proving very difficult tho.... & i don't want the Trimble Steering wheel no matter what...

Thanks

Just had a secondhand cfx750 with Trimble ez pilot steering wheel fitted to non autoguide 7718.
Trimble wheel actually a lot nicer thing to hold than the thinner, harder rimmed MF one.
Only downside is steering wheel mounting kit makes the shuttle lever a tiny bit further away from wheel but soon get used to it.

Retrofitting to make a non-steer tractor, steer-ready with a factory CAN/PVEd enabled orbitrol and associated bits and pieces and time to program it all on the tractor won’t be cheap or easy.

Most folks either go aftermarket either

- hydraulic steering valve kit - works alongside the existing orbitrol, ala the Trimble kits
or
- electric wheel kit, less neat and integrated than factory autosteer or hydraulic steering valve solution, but more portable and far cheaper.
