Additive system on a forage wagon.

I have recently purchased a Pottinger torro 6010 and I'm looking at setting up an additive system on it. I have noticed the normal place to put the tank/drums is on the front of the wagon up high. Has anybody done anything different to this? Also any other advice on fitting a system would be great (y)

Thanks in advance!

Does your tractor have a front linkage? If it does could you get in and out of gates and yards with something like this?

Yes tractor has front linkage. When we have the baler wrapper combination and conventional baler and bale band it on the back we put a front tool box on the front, for wrap, string and banding etc. We can get in most places but it's once in and out the field. Multiple times it could start to get on your nerves.

Pop a camera to point both ways. eBay job not v expensive

Do you climb up and stand up on top of the rotor or have you the ability to fill from the ground?
We fill using an IBC filled with premixed additive off telehandler/loader. Yes, driver climbs onto hood over rotor to open tank and put hose in. Works well for us. One wagon has 200litre clear plastic chemical barrel, other one has a £1000 selmech tank- can’t see any difference myself other than initial cost

Just a bit concerned that if I'm not about I don't want any accidents. Having fallen off the bale band it myself with a misplaced foot I know it can happen. Difference is on the band it you fall into the field not the back end of a tractor.

If it’s not owner operated I think I’d want a ladder and maybe a platform of some sort to work on.
What about a little 12v pump where you have the pipe work fixed and the. Suck yo from the ground

When looking into the wagons I went to look at some second hand ones. The comment from the seller was it can be dicey fill up with additive. Since I ended up buying new I was hoping to avoid the situation. :scratchhead:
