How do you adjust the brakes on a pre force ford 3000. The brakes on ours (scraper tractor) have gone completely whilst been stood over the summer for some reason!

3000 will be drum brakes? If so then very similar to MF 35 and 135s etc. Star wheel, through the access plate on back of drum. Ideally you need wheels and drums off to check shoes and un seize any linkages. Set them up to be just touching the drum then re set the linkages from cam to pedals. Have a youtube search of massey brakes for an idea

yes it’s drum brakes, the brake drums were overhauled last year with all new parts so nothing should be seized hopefully! I can see the access point but what do you do through it?

Flat screwdriver work the star wheel( have wheel jacked up) . Think it’s about 2” free play on each pedal, bit trail and error to be fair.
