depends on the size of your pump and whether you are doubled up or swing over whether you want to expand in future
as eulb says a fr3 will run a 12 unit parlour no probs
we got a couple of 76's and a old 74 knocking about

yes but gave up on multi suckling a long time ago as cows would not let the calves suck with out someone stood with them and it was to time consuming, so we decided to milk them instead and bucket feed the milk which was a plus for use as it stopped the calves getting kicked to death and each calf gets a set amount of milk.

done that one apart from cull the cows.Found calves do a lot better on cows milk there stronger more health and less prone to picking up infections than when they where on powder milk and cost a lot less to produce.
