Difficult position with it being your partners parents but unfortunately if they continue to ignore your requests to pay go down the legal route with them to get the money.

Difficult one! I am sure you will get what you are owed one way or the other. I would make it clear you and your partner need the money and if they can not catch up on the late wages you can not afford to continue working with them to the end of harvest. You are making a gesture of goodwill to continue to end of harvest and you would appreciate if they could mirror that with paying what you are owed. With family taking legal routes need to be the very last option Good luck.

Possibly a bit more than meets the eye here, so I wouldn't wish to offer a comment at this stage.
So more info about which relationship has broken down, and what agreement / arrangement was previously in place to pay you for your labour? Were you / are you working full time on the farm?

I know all parties involved in this personally and the situation is exactly as the OP has stated. He is being careful how much information he posts on here so as not to identify those involved.

Has he fell out with the partner or the family? Big difference in advice needed depending on the answer IMO. If he's fell out with both he's on a hiding to nothing and should let them do their own harvest

Too many questions

Was/is the OP an employee? Did he fall out with his employer or with his partner? Or both? Is his partner a partner in the employer's business? Are there unresolved issues (financial or otherwise) from his fallout with his partner?
