as says putting more cows on.
But I'm in abit undecided.
Either irish Fressions 3rd/4th calvers

Or
Dutch Holstein Fressions which are more like British Fressions 1/2nd calvers and correct cows.

We feed silage grass and 1 1/4?ton of cake.

I do fancy the Dutch cows but will they do on my system.

I've got couple of Irish cows and Dutch cows, would say that the Dutch cows would perform better on a high input system where as the Irish ones are brilliant at grazing and milking off grass.
If it was me I'd go with the Irish but choice is yours

i agree with William ive no experience of irish cows but the dutch ones were terrible at grazing to the point where they just wouldn't eat grass an just started drying them selves off.
