I am looking to find somewhere to buy hydraulic and vario filters for my 2003 Fendt 716.
the prices over here are ridiculous.

Dont go for aftermarket. They are never the same quality and do u really wanna risk a hydralic pump or vario failure? We once put an aftermarket engine filter on and when we started tge tractor the engine oil pressure light burned for about 2 seconds and we repeated it and it stil did it so just took it back of again cause the engine was bein starved of oil. Always go genuine

You got different rates in aftermarket... You can buy a Donaldson filter or Man + Hummel. For instance, Mann + Hummel produces the original Deutz filters, Donaldson makes a lot of OEM filters. So no, not every aftermarket filter is bad.
On the Mann website you find a lot of information. Please be aware that there are multiple Fendt 716, I just picked one.

Tractor manufacturers don’t make filters.they buy them in from outside companies like those mentioned above.i buy all my filters from largo plant and they are mostly Donaldson filters for my John Deere’s as fitted by Deere as oem parts.ive never had a problem with any of them.i also get kubota filters and filters for my digger and dumpers there too.there is a big saving to be had over main dealers

I put some Mann filters on a 718 the last time.....some look identical to the Fendt ones....i was disappointed with them hydraulic filter... didn't look as much metal mesh in it...looked more paper.....how much did I save....average half the price....would I do it again....proabably not...for piece of mind....had the tractor since new...done 8300hrs 10 years old....it deserves more than me trying to pinch on a few quid.... especially on the vario....its a 2000 hours service interval.... Not worth trying to save a few quid every 2/ 2.5years for me

I've recently been searching for filters for our TM310s handler and found all the online cross references to be a different spec....... that's even if you can find the spec as they seem to 'omit' some of the important figures. Jcb specs a 2mic filter and all crosses are 5 (if you can find that figure) the primary filter is similar. I don't know but maybe jcb specs a finer filter so you buy their own service goods but in actual fact is the same spec as the crosses.

As said above, tractor makers don't make filters they buy them in.There are plenty of makes I am happy to use such as Donaldson,Fleetguard,Baldwin others I am more wary of Crossland for example. On a vario transmission I would use genuine,or one made by the OEM,Donaldson ?
