I think it depends on age too. The older ones have much less insulation especially in the doors.
Ours is 1976 four oven and drinks like a fish.
But we like it so pay up and look happy especially in May when we turn it off!

4 Door Aga is just under 2000l a year here, it's a refurb fitted around 1995.

Ours is gas, just had a top up of insulation and a blanket thing fitted under the lid.
It was new in 2009.rather depends on how long/much you use it surely
Its a pot burner. Only heats itself and the kitchen. No hot water or heating.
My mate recons his aga doing similar only uses 2000litres hence asking the question.

Two oven aga with electric float control and on all year uses about 600 gallons a year, but does heat a hot water cylinder too.

We’ve got an esse doing cooking, water and heating, it’s over 4000l/yr and does none of the above tasks very well………And we turn it off in summer.
. sounds like yours is using a similar amount of fuel.
Ours is getting the heave once we can find a plumber that’s able to do 2 things: 1- turn up, and 2 - actually commit to doing a job.

Am gonna get shot down but best thing with them oil cookers is the scrap man.

Dont get me wrong on a colder day there is nothing like the heat n warm glow in a cold farmhouse kitchen but sorry not at the hassle n oil consumption nowerdays no thanks

If I want similar heat to my aga I will turn all the rings on, on my cooker and turn oven on and leave door open

Now i could poss do the same but a rangemaster electric cooker is in the hole where the oil guzzler once sat
couple of Rads on opposite wall off the boiler by heck they can get warm if needed

That's what we replaced ours with.
There not cheap either. But only cost of a couple of tanks of fuel that the aga guzzled
