As if coronavirus and component shortages are not enough in causing massive delays in the production and delivery of new machinery, it would seem that AGCO has been targeted in a ransomwear attack on the 5th May that shut down production until a couple of days ago.

Russia could manage that, easy
Cause more chaos in the West
Who do you think was behind the attack on AGCO?
AGCO pulled out of Russia on the 11th March.
The FBI issued a warning of cyber attack in the AG sector on the 20th April. Vlad wants to starve us into submission.

however did they manage with out it
In days of old, before all this fancy technology, a big farmer round here used to call tractor drivers, who weren't (let's say) the best, 'steerers'.

Nowadays some of them aren't even steerers

God knows what'll happen if GPS ever does fail for a long time - there's folks running about now with these big fancy drills that don't even come with markers 🔀

Some maze drilled under plastic down the road, pin straight and long runs , be surprised if a person steered it .looks bloody smart though 👌
It looks really good and I like to see it (however it's done)

But, beieve me, before all this GPS stuff, there were blokes who could do it by eye.

Plenty of 100 acre fields in Lincolnshire were drilled 'gun barrel straight' when all we had were Ford 5000's and MF 30's.
I suppose having a lot of root crops got us into the 'habit'.
Nothing looks better that a newly emerged crop in dead straight rows.
