Trying to get a GPS speed signal from this receiver on a t5 MF6718
To my knowledge the 7pin plug in the cab is speed sensor and not GPS, has any body got a true GPS signal to connect to a control box .

Maybe try AgRemote program to modify settings:
>Configuration v >>>>>..Rec Config v Radar v Radar Scaling

A null modem is different from a gender change. Seems to be a Null Modem in the picture. It does a cross between the pins 2 & 3 (receive data RX and transmit data TX) between the ends of the plug / cable Does other cross over also, but we do not need them now. A gender changer would just puts 1->1 ... 9->9 Plug to Receptable = Male to Famele.

As explained in simple Google search:

There are several classes of null modem cables, each with many variations: Minimum 3- or 4-Wire Cable. In this cable, RD and TD are cross connected and Signal Ground goes straight though (and optionally also Frame Ground). Such a cable provides no hardware flow control and no monitoring of the connection.

And also with pictures:

With most of the position & velocity NMEA data stream we do not want any flow control. So only RX TX and GND (=ground) must be hooked. Just get the baud rate etc right.

The original question of Massey 6478 asked for GPS-speed from Ag 382. And it (also to my knowledge) is available from pin 7 of both of the 12 pin Deutsch connectors of the receiver. And it's settings can be changed by using AgRemote software (by Win PC or some Ag displays that have it "built in"). So I'm sorry if I confused any of You. I understood that the original question was "how to get real GPS speed instead of tractor reported wheel speed". The difference in between is wheel slippage.
Speed is a scalar kph, mph, m/s... Velocity is a vector with speed and direction...
