Agri-food tech company Elemental appoints new commercial director

Written by Michelle Martin from Agriland

UK-based Agri-food tech company Elemental has appointed Paul Broster as its new commercial director.

Paul has over 30 years’ experience in the meat and poultry industries and particular expertise in developing original equipment manufacturer relationships.

In his new position, he will work to promote new products and oversee the development of patented technology licensing.

Commenting on the appointment, Dean Hislop, chief executive of Elemental said: “Paul’s knowledge and experience in the sector will boost our efforts to reduce waste in food manufacturing by promoting high value, high protein products and fertiliser to the market.”

Also commenting was Paul himself, who said:

What attracted me to the business is that Elemental products does not only help lower the carbon impact of meat processing, but our products are all completely traceable, which is highly unusual in our part of the food industry.

“There’s a full pipeline of exciting developments and further international growth on the horizon, so I’m joining the company at a great time.”

This senior appointment comes after the company recently secured a £1.37 million investment.

Elemental

Elemental turns an international, food processing waste problem into high value food ingredients and organo-mineral fertiliser.

This process avoids waste by capturing valuable proteins and fats direct at source and then reduces waste further by recovering the valuable minerals and nutrients from processing by-products into an organo-mineral fertiliser.
