Agri Waste

Worked for a birch franchisee a decade ago, farmers always always complained about a £35 "registration fee" and that they'd never been told about it beforehand. I used to write a good few off as liars, but when it got to every farmer I went to collect from bringing this up, I realised there was truth in this. I later heard the franchisee and the firm allegedly fell out, leaving my former boss with a mountain of bale wrap reaching the back door of the house and not a bean for collecting it. That is allegedly the case.
Hi Brynseiri, if you still have the collecting facility we are happy to work with you and we would take all plastics from you where you collected from farmer, also we would pay service fee to you.

Birch Farm Plastics come and collect ours from South Wales, and I believe recycle it into all sorts of things. They are even kind enough to charge me for the privilege. They win both ends!
Hi AGN76, we will accept your tipping free of charge as well as issue you a waste transfer note. If you have baled wrap and able to load attic trailer perhaps we may provide free collection subject to min tonnage is loaded.

It's illegal and very irresponsible. I send all my plastic to a local recycling firm. It makes me angry to see neighbours burning it, spreading carcinogenic particles into the atmosphere.

In a nutshell, I would expect you could collect material from a local area, compress it and sell it on. Transport costs for uncompressed material would be too high over lover distances.

I would also be concerned about contamination of the plastic with bits of silage, dirt, soil etc. How is that cleaned out or dealt with. maybe you could tell us how that works?????
We are dealing with silage, crop cover, polytunnel and all other farm waste plastics. Please note we are the site which process all your farm waste here. opp, except we can deal with net but the rest are free tipping or collection subject to quantity loaded.

What stuff do you currently recycle? I suspect with farm waste it being all mixed lots would be the biggest hassle
In fact, we noticed the various type of polymers used for the containers and polythene. Leave these to us, we have knowledge to segregate them and recycle them in proper way. We grind the HDPE, PP, PS and others, we wash all the farm polythene and compound here in our factory in Rhondda Valley.
