With the pay in farming being so low.
the ridiculous hours.
total lack of h&s and road traffic laws on farms
arrogant bosses.
who in their right mind would come in to this industry.

As a youngish (hobby) farmer (32) it’s not easy to farm in your own right, especially with recent inflation, you need some serious capital just to stock a few acres, let alone find it.
We had a young lad work weekends for us a few years back, but his parents encouraged him into learning a trade so he went bricklaying. Now he misses farming but only works about 30 hours a week for double the money
