Agriculture Industrial Design Thesis

I am currently pursuing my thesis in Industrial and Interaction Design. Over the past five months, I have been researching the connection of sustainability between urban agriculture, community and materials.

It would be so helpful if you could take a couple of minutes and complete my survey below to help me in my research process! Anyone and all thoughts are welcome.

I did look at doing the survey as it would only take a couple of minutes, but reading further I found it could take 25 minutes so decided not to bother. I’m only a simple farmer but I do find it worrying that those educated to degree level don’t know the difference between two and twenty five!

Based upon trail responses and actual responses the survey will take between 15 and 25 minutes. To clarify, the survey may be shorter or may be longer based upon a couple of factors, such as one's speed and one's degree of detail. To further clarify, a couple minutes does not mean solely 2-5 minutes.

I am intrigued as to why a student from an American university is asking questions about sustainability to farmers who are mainly located in the UK. I have worked extensively with and for Americans, and I feel that we could teach the USA a great deal about sustainability. However, its a lesson that is unlikely to be delivered when the US economic policy seems to be "bigger is always better".
