Right, i'll kick this off,

Got a text off Agrii yesterday saying they're going to develop an app, and what would you like to see?

So, what would you like to see?

An app for what? Fertiliser calculators and grass growth calculators seem to have been done to death.

Some sort of work recording app would be helpful, especially for contract workers / part time workers.

It's a blank canvas i think, they're asking suggestions for whatever you'd like

Tractor gps for applying fert etc. I believe the gps used for tablets is only accurate within 10m though so may not be possible.

I spoke to someone at Patchwork about this and they said GPS on phones/Tabs too inaccurate

I would presume Agrii would want the app to engage their main customer base, i.e. Arable inputs

A field records app would seem the best fit, if it could automatically update a web based database or similar that would be good. It would also be handy if you just used drop down menus to fill in the main input fields to save typing and speed up entry.

I'll have a google of that. Mind you having a BlackBerry most of these apps are irrelevant! Role on the end of my 24 month contract.

A crop blueprint for nutrition and chemical applications. The farmer puts in soil indices, variety, market, soil type, previous cropping etc then like magic you get a basic blueprint. I know you are all going to say blueprints are a waste of time but to have a little foresight would help.
