Agriknives knife sharpening machine

Like most people I just use a grinder flap disc to clean up and keep the edges as sharp as possible on a baler. And if they need it I have no problem carefully grinding out the gouges on the other side of the knife if they need it. Don't overdo it and it works fine for me.
I would have to say that despite feeling the same as you for several years- having built our own sharpening machine with stone wheel and coolant, the difference is very noticeable. We tried buying an agriknives one but the man is useless so we built our own

I only have a baler to look after and have two sets of knives so it's easy enough for me to keep them right for the amount of baling that I do. I can easily see having the proper setup is ideal if you have a lot of knives doing a lot of work. No matter what you can ruin all your work on the first round of a field and chop a few electric fence stakes!

Used to be a person, agriknives but I think he sells black wooden posts now instead
No we still make and export sharpeners, during covid I lost out on getting a lot of machines made , so only this year we caught up on production . The machine has now been updated again to suit newer knives . Orders been taken now for next year.

The price is €2400 ex works , I’m trying to organise a uk dealer to sell for me , this will save a lot on transport. Lead times , I’m now taking orders for machines for delivery next March. A big problem every year is orders not coming early enough to give us time to make enough. We make a set number a year as it’s seasonal and it takes about 3 months from start to finish .
