That's very reasonable! I've got a plate meter I just can't get enthusiastic enough to get out there with it weekly it's been worse since we had the dog put down. Hoping to get a pup in the spring which will give me a walking companion. The wife always offers to come but I'm not that keen on it

That is a shame, she was a real softyOld age caught up with her. Ridled with cancer. Real shame.
did you get it from MVF in the end? what was theirs price and was it for full package.Mine still hasn't turned up. Really pee'd of with mole valley. Nearly at the point of just cancelling and start again next jan. Would love to know what we are growing; but it's gone flipping mental. Zero grazer off all week now, and I want to shut some paddocks up. But without being able to budget the wedge I'm nervous.
What's people's normal peak? Can 150 be achieved?
Yes from mole, full package. Can't remember the price, but was a lot of money.did you get it from MVF in the end? what was theirs price and was it for full package.

Yes I did.Anything come of this agri net group??
@Beef farmer did you get a plate meter at all??
Dunno yet, and to be honest I don't think I will know untill we split the herd. Being so overstocked, I just have to ration them to what I know I can grow, and if it slows up just zg more. But next year I'd hope to have no zg from mid March to Oct. So will need to get on top of it. Will still me sure this year, as interested to compare paddocks production. Is it worth the money though, however much it was????
Whole farm growth in mid teens, fresh re-seeds and optimum nutrient status pushing 20t/dm/ha+ in paddocks would be gold standard. Can I ask you guys, what would be your total DM production per acre/ha over the season and what % utilisation would you be trying to get? What would be a good benchmark figure for me to point the people I deal with at and say 'beat that'???

There won't be many operators growing 15t.I always aim to beat 15 T/DM per Ha. It might not sound much but to get all the paddocks to beat it is quite tricky. Plus its a realistic target.
As for utilization that depends on the system - grazing, zero grazing, premowing, whatever.
However you use it you have to grow it first
