Aha and new linked business

Has anyone any experience on if a non farming business can be run within a farm business, particularly on a aha tenancy. My mrs is in the process of turning a hobby into a sole trader business that will need a small amount of shed space, as it’s outgrown the house.

How do the rest of you manage tenancy issues like this? I suppose it’s no different to running a b&b or tea room etc, but I just wondered how to handle it when it’s non agricultural on the aha tenancy

Could she just incorporate it within the farm and it’s account, but manage as a separate enterprise. If it’s under the farm business umbrella it could be vat registered wouldn’t it?? Is that what tearooms etc do??
Sorry if that’s all a bit vague, but concerned the landlord will see it as another business (as she is now a registered business) running from their premises and want a slice or rent rise. Landlord knows about our plans but is yet to come back to us with their thoughts
Opinions please....[emoji106]

Depends very much on the terms of your tenancy . I’d be very careful if I was you and probably consult your landlords agents and the TFA
