Iv ordered a new air con pipe to be fitted. It’s the thicker pipe going to compressor. How easy is it to take off and fit new one? Or how do I go about it or is it easier to just let someone else do it
Thanks

Thank you 👍
Just so you know you don’t need to lift the seat completely from the cab. Just remove the 4 hold down bolts spin the seat 180 degrees then flip it over the back of the cab so the backrest sits on top of the spool block. Saves a lot of lifting!
The pipe goes to the expansion valve on the evaporator. It’s held on with a securing plate that holds both pipes, just 1 Allenkey in the centre which is a pig to get square on! If you lift the evaporator as far as possible helps a little.
As has been said it’s worth clearing everything while your in there, check the drain holes under the evaporator are clear and also check both your fan motors are running.

Just need a lift out with it now and then see about the air con pip and a clean up off all the crap

Install a narrow pallet or ***carefully two pallet tines level with the back window, put a blanket over the opening. Pump the seat up hard then fold the back rest flat. Lift the seat into the rear window opening. Thats how i do them.

Replace both fans if they've not been done lately.

Pull out the temp sensor, then Lift the evap slightly to be able release the clamp that holds the pipes to the txv. Replace both o rings on new pipes.

Clean the whole lot out whilst in their and replace the cab filters. I have a tool that goes on a garden hose for washing cores out.

I allow a morning to do them
