Air con problems

The wrong time of year for most of you to worry about this I know.
Hyundai Santa Fe, Everything works fine, nice and cold plenty of air flow but after extended running, an hour plus, air flow reduces to almost nothing but what there is, is still cold.
Drain hose stops dripping water, if you then switch the AC or the engine off and wait a large puddle appears and after half an hour or so everything's fine again.
Ideas and fixes gratefully received(y)

It will be the thermostat in the matrix as said before. Turn off for 5 minutes every 15 minutes to allow it to defrost and if that does the trick replace the thermostat.

Somethings definitely freezing up as switching it off as you suggest does work. Its been to the dealers 3 times and as I understand it (its the wife's work car) they have changed the thermostat. I get the feeling they cant reproduce the problem as they're not running it long enough and they don't really believe there's a problem.

Try and clean the evaporator, blow it out,if air flow is too low over it it will freeze up,hence speedstars comment about running fan faster may help.May need stripping out and washing out ,dog hair is a pain for blocking them up if you have a dog in the car much...

Yep that's my theory, no dog but it often works in dusty paddocks and gravel roads. I just think they cant be arsed to get to the evaporator and check it out as it doesn't look that easy to get at.
I get the feeling from what's been said that they're just not listening to Mrs Pom and think she doesn't know what she's talking about.
