Airband prices

We've had Airband WISP internet here since the end of 2018
We pay £30 (inc vat) for 'superfast home' which has a 150GB limit that we have never exceeded.
We usually get 30 Mbps speed
Most of the time it works fine.
They are now telling me that my contract is up for renewal (didn't know I had one!) and they want to move me up to 'Broadband Unlimited' for £32/34/36 for 24/18/12 month contracts.
<<Please note that the prices I quoted to you reflects our Broadband Unlimited Package with unlimited data together with download speeds of upto 40mbps and upload speeds of 10mbps. We offer a guarantee of download speeds of 20mbps and upload speeds of 5mbp upload on this package. >>

FTTP is quoted at £15K
FTTC is not available
ADSL gives about 2 MBPS

Anyone have any thoughts?

Looks to me you have little choice.
We are trying to get together with neighbours to get FTTP on Demand (FTTPoD) since there is grants available and it looks like we qualify, however we have to pay for a survey to be done to get a price for the install costs.
If then its too high, we are stuck with our ADSL 10 down/0.8 up (and it frequently drops out)
We have no decent 4G (speed is about the same as the ADSL but with 2.5x the latency), so there is very little other options for us.
Except maybe Starlink, when available and that's £90/month.

I'd bite their hand off...

Do you think they have such a thing?

I would be surprised if they didn't - all telecoms firms seem to see it as an integral department. Gigaclear here for supply (again no other real option) - thought they'd have me stuck with no negotiating power. Turns out they are as happy to negotiate as anyone if you threaten to leave.

Ive gone from Airband to Country Connect via radio waves. Airband had too many drop outs for my liking and fixing issues at source were taking days. Constant texts on issues. £50pm and I had a grant from Welsh Assembly to pay for connection etc up to £1200 I think.

The trouble with Airband is they dont have the capacity to cope.
