Unless its an open station tractor AC should be standard.
I have absolutely no idea why you'd buy something without it.

For the older eejits that drive around with the windows open on new tractors and moan they're too hot and dusty.

Not sure of any negatives TBH.

Maybe a tad more fuel used, but you are sitting in a clean, dust free environment.

Great in Winter for quick demisting too...

Depends who’s driving. Some folk have windows permanently open so dust gets in which will choke the recirc filter, so they eventually take it out, then it chokes the condenser which on some brands is under the seat and not easy to clean.

Can't understand people who don't like aircon, I issue more staff bollockings over aircon than anything else, I leave it on auto mode and just adjust the temperature to suit the day. Windows always demisted, everything comfortable, blower adjusts to suit requirements. When I get in a vehicle and find it either turned off or played around with and fan spinning on max despite being at set temp I do ask why it has been fiddled with. Even worse aircon off and windows open.

as an old fart i can remember cabs without fans and cabs with fans that only made a noise as far as i am concerned air con is the dog's doodads

I feel a lot healthier doing a day on an open station/ROPS tractor than I do spending a day in an airconned cab.

But living in a cab without aircon? I'd rather be dead.

I don't know how anyone could drive a machine without it. I was once driving a machine when the aircon stopped (wire under seat went) and within minutes the interior was hot and sticky as hell. I persisted to get the job done and stayed going another 30 minutes by which point I was covered in sweat and nearly dopey from heat exhaustion.

rops and fops is ok when the weather is fine but when its cold and pissing down give me a cab with aircon i have spent days on tractors without cabs when my hand have been fixed with cold and i could not speak

Fitting a front windscreen and wiper is the best thing I ever did to my ROPS tractor.

But yeah, nothing keeps the cold out like a cab.

I used to drive a Ford 5000 with a round baler most of the summer. I was 16 and felt like life couldn’t get any better. No cab or radio let alone air conditioning, not sure if the crappy lungs and constant cough is a souvenir of those days but now windows are shut and ac on.

People Don't know how to use it.... problem number 1..... Mine are always on... Hot or cold it does it job.

If it were my Machine and just me using... Yes Aircon would be specc'd

What about in a telehandler, I hardly ever use mine with the top window closed.

If the Aircon breaksdown, then I treat it as if the whole machine is down, same as if the engine won't start. Cab windows always closed, Aircon on. Summer and winter. Life is to short to fill lungs with sh!t.
