Alert list missing entries

Is here a reason why all of a sudden, when I click on Alerts in the top right corner of the page, I'm missing all the alerts (bar the single most recent) since about 10am on Saturday?

Except for the very last alert, all the others for the past 3 days have vanished. Yet if I click on 'show all' then they mysteriously appear.

Hopefully it's only a temporary glitch and the gremlins aren't munching their way through all the cabling there at TFF towers.

Cant offer you any help except to say Alerts can be very 'random' I received a load one day last week, and they were all likes for a post I made in 2016

That happens when someone (new?) drags up old threads.

No, it had not been replied to or anything, was my first thought.
Just a random anomaly it seemed.
Like when sometimes I get an alert for a new post in a thread, but it has missed several pages
