Please check your yellow paint in the following places , took delivery of a new machine a month ago and was shocked by the following areas

main frame under the boom by the red ram stop , white undercoat showing in small circles due to as I see poor cleaning in between undercoat and main yellow spray

main side plates welded to the above , more paint on the outside than the inside , you can feel the paint smother on one side and rough on the other side

under the boom where the pipes run , not painted properly inside boom wear plates , not painted above the main and secondary ram mounts on the boom

main bushes and main pin on the back , not painted in hard to reach areas

several large areas on the machine where you can only describe the paint as having an orange peel effect , not enough paint end of

our machine has gone back to be sorted in some fashion , what yet we have not agreed.

in the mean time another new machine is on farm to use , I have found the exact same issues on this one.

speaking to a mate with a 4 month old machine he bought paint himself to tidy up same areas.

jcb Is supposed to be the premium machine , wtf is going on.

Exactly its embarrassing when they cant get very basic things right like a bit of paint. it not like its a new problem they had paint issues for years and years now.
As I say the paint on the main body on mine is fine , the paint on the boom hose guard is shite , clearly out sourced .
It will be mentioned when we visit on friday

I think , because so many machines go for export they don't think it necessary to over kill the paint job , wrong , but there you go

not a fan of shoddy no.

You'd think for a global manufacturer they'd go out of their way to sort the paint issues out, but apparently the 'Quality Control' department allow this "shoddy" workmanship to go out the door as an acceptable standard. It's pi$$ poor, JCB hear it every day from their dealers, so why are the QC inspectors not picking up on it?
It's a failure at the heart of the business, someone isn't pulling their weight. It's P45 time.
