What sort of cows are they out of @AGN76 !? And what will you be putting across them in future!? Quite keen myself to look to breed blue x replacement heifers from some lim x dairy females.

They are out of Lim x cows which are 2 and 3 generations from a dairy cow. They will always go to Limousin and as they are not too extreme I'll find a bull with good milk figures to breed replacements from them.

Thanks. He's 09 born so just turned 8 years old this September. Came to me when he was 6 from a friends pedigree herd. No hard food and just lumps it with the cows over winter. Exceptionally quiet.

Why switch away from the charolais?

I like to buy on figures rightly or wrongly and another charolais with figures as good as the last one would be out of my price range now. Once I've got the herd up to size I'll splash out on another.
