@Hesstondriver I went to the dispersal for a few heifers. The owner wasn't fit enough to come to the sale so they rigged him a computer up so he could watch it at home. Also there stockman must be in his seventies and I guess the next generation haven't got the same enthusiasm as the last for limousin. They were all excellent cattle in very much working condition.

Thanks @bob_01

I’ve followed them around many shows and an impressive show of cattleis an understatement, I’m not a Limmy man but credit where credit is due . It was more of a retirement sale then ? Did you buy much ?

Only bought 1 from them and 2 more from another vendor. We went down to see the mother of our best performing cow, with the view of buying her but it made to much for us unfortunately. We like there cattle as there not fed up and grow on really well, which is rare these days at pedigree sales. I guess it's a retirement sale although it seemed rushed and short notice but that's probably due to poor health

Do you have any pictures of these scholland? I remember last year you had outstanding growth rates, do you think it's the longer day light you get in summer up there which makes them grow when you turn them out?

I'll get some soon, they go out with big frames but pretty lean, don't do them that well through the winter then let the spring grass catch them up.
