Why you killing them so light?

I just treat them like buying big stores but smaller. Feed them for about six months as hard as you can then cash them. Only difference is they cost a fraction to buy and eat far less in the same period. They increased in value over purchase price on average by £490 in 194 days. I wouldn’t have thought continental bullocks average a lot better do they?

Well I aim for as close to 430 kilos as I can, but mine are obviously older at 18-21 months, everything will have had 2 summers at grass

Horses for courses really I have no grass. Plenty of people out there giving £1000 for stores to keep inside to finish though, can they make them do any better? £1490 is a fair average. They will eat as much if not more in 4 months than mine eat in 6

Sold them Monday. Stores have dropped alot. Top price I got was £865 for a pen of 5. Well over £100 down on the month.
Hopefully a bit of a blip,Get some more rain and a bit of grass growth to steal a late cut and things maybe level out, I think the cull price and lamb job dropping back suddenly has dragged the prime down with it and everybody clearing culls out Re fodder crisis
