My undersown springbarley drilled april still hasnt headed. Growing away slowly with lack of moisture, so even with drought stress, no heads. Year 2 watch outHow do you make that out? Its bound to come to head if you cant get it cut or grazed if its too wet, whether there is frost or not.
I sowed some in 2008 i think in first week of July for wholecrop. At least that was the plan.It was undersowed in Spring Barley seed(another mistake,it should have been Spring Oats) It rained nearly every day from late September onwards and i never got it cut.Ended up 4 foot high and all seed heads.Swamped the Barley out so it never came to grain fill but was too late for Barley anyway. But the weather won in the end.Really? You sure? Drill after april and wont head

Thanks, going okay. Jokingly say it would be easier to sell crack cocaine than raw milk with all the rules but can now see it is highly addictive stuff too!Hows it going @Tim G ?

Had lots of positive feedback, girl in the village had suffered with eczema had had tried everything, then tried our milk and it cleared it, another guy was similar. Had a young family turn up yesterday who were from Bishops Stortford (about 40 miles from here) so I asked them where they were heading and they told me they came just to buy milk and where then going home again!
Been selling out by lunch every day last week, hence buying another cow. I hoped it would go well but didn't expect it to take off so quick.
