Better than the calves this year
They seem to have been hit with cocci (even though the vets couldn't find it in samples rhey tested) and half of them look good the other half look bad

Had the same thing here. Try testing the ones that don’t look sick yet. Also can y’all feed rumensin there? Prevents it fairly well, just have to be careful with it.

Upgraded a length or band for a second hand length of chain. A great time saver

Have the very same diesel nozzle here. Fantastic flow through it. Always the tank of choice for speed. Then one day, without warning, it mysteriously nipped the spout off in my hand, just at the point in front of where you've tied the string. Very lucky I was holding it at the time, and not greasing something, as it could wet a yard very quickly at the rate it comes out at. Warning!

My eldest cow must of taken a bit hit as she is very sore on her front shoulder and has some cuts on her.

Talking of clever ideas , I got fed up of picking spray cans off the parlour floor , damp ,dirty etc and either getting them out of the store or putting them back.
Thought of a plastic bin next to the steps down , with a lid on it but cows feet slipping down onto it at odd times and shyte splashing into it - hhmm no .
So , half an hour later and a few odds and sods , and I came up with a waterproof , rotproof ,cheap container for odds and sods . Dont tell the dairy inspector whats in it !!

Some Yieldor clear curtain , some coarse thread tech screws and a teat dip container and some old webbing to tie it onto the rump rail . The one on the other side has an upgrade with a tech screw and a hen pen type oblong swivel on the bottom ,to hold the curtain tight to the drum to keep spray out :wacky:

I had yet to wash down completely when I took that !!
