About to do 100 acres. Worked well in the past. Unfortunately some areas of maize are that flat we just cant get it. Dont know what to do. To low to top. Think we might just have to leave it the winter.
Anybody any ideas. Certainly not ploughable.
Spoke to my contractor today and he has 20 acres of maize to harvest that was flattened by the wind last week. Only done about 6 loads in 6 hours,was extremely frustrated and thought about using his wholecrop header.Whatwould others do?

Machinery sales rep talking to me today about using a disc header to pick up flat maize.

These pics are much better than silage pics.(y)
I have to say that is one thing I miss with the robot- I rarely get to see a nice full udder with milk dripping onto the parlour floor.
