Can I ask if anyone has started using uniform agri recently? Our fullwood rep has quoted us nearly £500 for a link that will allow the parlour to talk to uniform. It seems a bit steep to me as you then have to pay for the program as well!

I wouldn’t be without uniform. Best program out there. Does everything!

I forgot to come back to say we are having the Taurus link for free because we were previously running Interherd. It's due to be installed next week. The downside is our Johnes test was due so we had to record this week, it normally takes 15 minutes to download the events from Interherd but it took us four hours to get it all out of crystal. I hate milk recording too!

Does anyone actually enjoy milk recording!?

Hello everyone, been watching this forum and thread for a while. We are in the process of going from a tied up stall to Robotic stall. We had the unfortunate event of having a electrical fire in the barn last year, fortunatly no cows or humans where , but it pretty much threw the world upside down for quite some time.

But now finally we are in the finishing stages of getting to the point when we can mœve back home so to speak.. The Robot should arrive Anytime soon and the Lely collector should arrive in the coming weeks...

Yeah I will upload some pictures pretty soon, nothing fancy really, we sat down after the fire and we had gotten a neighbours barn up and running again after 6-7 years something. Started looking at possibilities depnding on what the insurance company would say and cover.

After a bitter fight with them about what they would cover and gotten the possibilities of getting investment support from the Finnish goverment, pretty much dead. Because of how they look at insurancemoney and support. We pretty much decided to rebuild it with what the insurance money covered and a Bankloan.

So we decided to build on a budget and manage from there.. In Finland atleast when people build Lely/Delaval concept Barns they to come down to 1 million €+ for one robot...

If nothing special happens, we will finish this project with a budget Around 200 000€ and have 55 cows..

Milestone reached yesterday, for the first time we bottled just over 100 litres of milk. That's was from 4 cows, from today we are milking 5. Should add that we sold all the milk too.

Have you finished the parlor yet? When you've got all 7 milking you might want that extra unit.
No, a few 'landlord issues' mean I'm a bit reluctant to pour more money into his property and him to expect us to not claim any improvements if we leave. It's a long story!
We are thinking of putting it in the original parlour building which still requires some work but quite a bit less. Short term another dump bucket will be needed as number six is due to calve in 5 weeks.
I might have to collect the bulk tank I bought too!
