Blue heaven sexed + beef breed plan nearly fully here have to say what a f in joy these over b&w bullsView attachment 809936

I work for for Cogent Precision so i'm declaring that now. But what you have just said is being echoed on all the farms I have been on lately. I can't remember using a conventional straw of dairy semen in the 9/10 weeks i've been with them. It's making a massive difference.

Are you using much beef 4M? Lisa was trying to sell me some a while back, but really would have liked sexed female Herefords.

Woken at 5 by an ex dairy farmer neighbour beeping his car horn on the yard, instantly realised what had probably happened, down to field on the quad, some cows wandering in but could see plenty on the road having amazingly opened a new gate:scratchhead:,pushed out,so if we’d left it open it would have been pushed round the other way and catches on the field. Anyway high speed quad bike retrieval of the cows was successfully achieved from one of my relief milker’s fields which he has been clearing with a digger, cows love freshly dug soil!

Some kind soul let some bulling heifers out last month, chained gate was opened inwards (now locked),they appeared in with 50+ of a neighbours a mile down the road,I was chuffed when I’d managed to shed mine single handed on the quad, reality was they didn’t like the neighbours heifers.

Glad to see that people have at last seen the light. We've used Cogent sexed semen ever since it was commercially available, which was I think 19 years ago. Best decision we ever made to help us keep a closed herd, salve our conscience by minimising Holstein bulls, and adding value by selling quality beef x calves.

Used very little of beef 4M so far but it does seem to be makimg in roads slowly. The majority of the beef im using is either Blue or Angus. Hitman (Blue) or Dead Center (Angus) are seriously sticky and getting a lot of cows incalf.

The product has come on massively since its first introduction. I know our success varied from batch to batch and from company to company when we used it at home.

4M has been a real game changer - it works and farmers have great confidence behind it and using plenty of it,

Im not sure of the current lineup but ill find out and let you know.

Weve got a strong lineup of beef bulls coming through. The flipside of a successful sexing programme is were using less dairy services to get achieve the same number of heifer calves on the ground so more beef bulls are needed.

Agree with that they could do with a couple of limo bulls added to their line up.
