I wouldn't normally consider us an overly dry farm, we would average 35in and we even had that last year despite having 4 months without a drop.

I would never run a 17 day round. We run 3.5 small cows/ha and minimum 25 day round. We have to make quite a bit of our silage off the platform so we keep fertilizer rates right up when it is raining and bale up any surplus.

I always grow 20-25ac of summer brassicas and until last year I probably hadn't had to buffer feed over summer for 5 years. 2017 was the perfect grass growing year for us.

We normally get 40-42 inches of rain. Pretty sure we have already had our 40 inches by July this year

Harrys Valtra must be the most pimped up tractor in Scotland!
Nice udders on those cows.
The one downside i see in my crossbreds are more older cows with sloppy bags. Holsteins have the best udders.
Yes and it’s lying in a heap today fan belt off water pump fudged etc low loader job!!
Yes but they aren’t lasting long enough, considering a load of your pro crosses this next month instead of Holsteins

That’s what I found. I suppose Holsteins struggle to stick around long enough to get many with blown bags.
Not that im a Holstein basher. I will always keep them in the rotation.

Cows 'n silage 'n loads of cake doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

We're still nowhere near as dry and burnt as last year but we've had less than 6 inches of rain so far in 2019.

You need to move north and west, reading this made me total my rainfall since october last year

Have an issue, the computer for my parlour running crystal went on fire. Leaving me without my feed to yield system. Is there anyway of getting this software without forking out £3k? Can’t really justify it as my parlour is 18yr old, and will probably update within next 3-4 yr
