Er, well it would be the same height the other way round as the gap at the end is the same. Have you not also lost the space so the cow is more likely to knock against the cubicle when getting up and down.
There you go,we still don’t know why. Maybe some lads installed them who hadn’t a clue. That’s my theory but it’s still doing my head in.

What sort of size / weight are they compared to a mature Danish jersey? I'd be interested to see how they compare.

Here's a rough comparison (these are dries)

I installed them
The height of the divider at the kerb end is the same as it would be if it was installed the other way up, the difference is the height of the neck rail

Those look a fair bit bigger than my Jersey X NZ HF.

What is your plan for breeding them?

Did you sell your big group of bulling heifers?

Back to Reds as a diversified herd to push litres in the tank

No, probably because they weren’t served and tbh we would struggle to replace the quality so we have sync’d and served 76 and will collar the others when they turn 12 months old .
Not overly fussed but if someone makes a sensible offer we would consider it.

At least they look awesome Rick!

6’2” myself and these buggers look me straight in the eye! TBF, they are pretty chilled considering they have swopped country and language and have spent their lives in a tie stall so stepping on to a rotary is a unique experience for them. Walking on after three milking though (y)

A rotary is just 50 moving tie stalls! A robot or herringbone would be worse for them to acclimatise to.

Local big herd said cows coming off an abreast were the worst, they simply wouldn’t step onto the rotary,I bought a herd out of Scotland that had been milked in a byre type head lock set up,they were terrible for a week in my herringbone.

I’ve 70 or so come from a robot farm they took to my parlour no bother despite not being fed while milking.

There were 11 b&w crosses in that row. They're all 1st calvers but very similar in stature to the jerseys.

Volume wise they are definitely out yielding the pure jerseys but when it comes to total solids and calf value I don't think there will be much in it.
Agreed on the calf value but I’m pretty sure you’ll get extra solids from a mature crossbred to more than cover the extra LW.
